Lucky Cheng is a cinematographer, born and raised in NYC’s Lower East Side/Chinatown. His first days in the darkroom in the 00’s ignited a lifelong passion for crafting images. Since 2012 he has honed his craft in the camera department, developing an intuitive eye for composition, camera movement, and striking, atmospheric lighting. His work celebrates the understated luxury of the quiet power of observation.
Based between the U.S., Europe, and Asia, he brings a global sensibility to his visual storytelling. When not shooting and venturing on land, he can be found shooting and exploring the underwater world as a certified SCUBA diver and freediver.
